The Score has been one of the best selling boards in the Nidecker collection for a long time. Its price and class-leading performance make it one of the go-to choices for snowboarders looking for a low priced, easy-going snowboard that’s perfect for progressing your skills or as a mellow board for anyone that prefers to take it a bit easier. Built around an advanced directional twin, the Score’s versatile ride anywhere and everything performance lets you take on absolutely anything the mountain can throw at you. The 1cm set back of the stance and innovative Diamond tip shape give you a little more nose, enabling the front of the board to lift easier in pow and helping cut through chop and crud. However, even though you’ve got that slightly longer length in the nose, the board still feels well balanced under the feet, so it still delivers a predictable ride giving you the confidence to improve your riding both out on the hill and through the park. So, if you’re after an easy-riding go-anywhere do-anything board that isn’t going to break the bank but also won’t compromise on performance, then this could be your perfect choice.
Rider Style
Beginners through to more experienced riders looking for a great value all-terrain board.
Shape Overview
The Score’s Directional Twin shape has been designed to deliver the perfect balance of all-terrain versatility and compliant ride. Utilising the innovative Diamond profile tip and tail which allows the designers to reduce the overall volume of the nose and tail without compromising float, the Score steps up both control and feel while still giving class-leading levels of float in the pow.
Profile
Now to give the Score its more predictable ride and enhance its versatility even further, Nidecker fits their ride anything CamRock. This versatile camber profile features rocker zones just outside the insert packs, blending into a flat section between the feet. This combination of rocker and camber results in a solid and stable ride on edge, float in the pow and a hook free playful feel in the park.
Construction
Internally the Score is a prime example of that old saying that sometimes less is more. By eschewing headline-grabbing tech, Nidecker has been allowed to focus on getting the things that matter right. Heading this up is the high-quality Fullwood core. Constructed from durable poplar reinforced with beech in the nose and tail, it delivers a poppy and responsive flex through the length. Nidecker creates the structural layers from their exclusive Dual Plus 90° bi-ax glass to ensure that the Score keeps its trademark predictable torsional flex. This combination of poppy core and softer structural layers delivers an overall responsive ride that seems to absorb all the undulations and terrain changes, ensuring a predictable and stress-free ride. To give the board a smooth, fatigue-free ride that keeps you riding all day, Nidecker fits an Absorbnid layer. Absorbnid is an innovative top layer designed to absorb unwanted vibrations.
Base
To ensure that the Score delivers excellent glide in all conditions, Nidecker fits it with their low maintenance N-5000 extruded base.
