Over the years, Jamie Lynn and Lib Tech snowboards have become synonymous. As part of that lib-Tech super team of the mid-’90s alongside Dave Lee, Matt Cummins and Joey McGuire, Jamie’s powerful and ultra-smooth style defined 90’s snowboarding. You can now relive snowboarding’s golden age with the rerelease of Jamie’s classic 96 pro model. Aimed at riders looking for a freestyle inspired freeride board, the Jamie Lynn 96 is built around a true twin-tip shape. This classic snowboard shape with tight radius tip and tail curves delivers outstanding control, ensuring that when you want to recreate those classic sections from Simple Pleasures, this board will be all over it. Although the shape looks almost identical to the original, Lib has re-engineered the geometry and bought it up to date. So, even though you’ve got those tighter tips, the Jamie Lynn 96 will deliver a thoroughly modern riding experience. In terms of the profile, Lib has kept it real and has gone with the original board’s traditional camber. This lively profile gives the Jamie Lynn 96 a dynamic and responsive ride, perfect for charging around the whole mountain. In terms of what’s inside the Jamie Lynn 96, again, you can rest assured that Lib hasn’t returned to 1996; it uses the thoroughly modern OP construction to deliver the quality performance you’d expect from Lib-Tech.
Rider Style
Intermediate to advanced riders looking for a versatile freestyle-focused board that delivers stunning all-terrain performance.
Shape Overview
The Jamie Lynn 96 takes the classic twin shape of the original board but tweaks the geometry to bring it bang up to date. The re-profiled tight radius tips hark back to those old ways of trying to reduce swing weight. But thanks to that geometric tweak, these tight radius tips aren’t going to feel like riding a submarine in the pow. This board is one classic twin that will feel as great when hitting up those early morning powder runs as it does pulling floaty 540’s off park kickers. Again harking back to the original Jamie Lyn, the Jamie Lynn 96 utilises a classic radial sidecut. This predictable sidecut delivers a controlled and predictable arc, creating a stable and confidence-inspiring ride.
Profile
Again harking back to the original 96 Jamie Lynn, the new board utilises a traditional full camber profile. This classic camber is still the go-to choice for riders looking for a more performance-focused ride. The camber arc starts and finishes at the contact points, creating a poppy and powerful ride and powering up the entire length of the sidecut for enhanced carving performance.
Construction
Internally the Jamie Lynn 96 utilises Lib-Techs OP construction, headed up by the OP wood core. This durable and responsive core combines 75% Aspen and 25% lightweight paulownia with birch stringers parallel to the sidecut to deliver the perfect balance of pop and power. Lib Tech then add structural layers formed from tri-ax and bi-ax glass. This combination of glass fibre between the lower and upper bands allows the board’s designers to dial in the perfect balance of freestyle flex through the length with a more responsive torsional flex for when you need more control and response.

The low maintenance environmentally friendly reconstituted Eco Sublimated TNT base combines the best features of traditional and extruded bases into one low maintenance but fast sintered base.
