The PBJ has been a staple of the DC collection since their first year; over that time; it’s been fine-tuned by the DC team to ensure it’s always at the top of its game. Aimed at riders looking for a fun to ride freestyle focussed board that’s equally happy lapping the park as it is playing around on the mountain, it’s the perfect choice for anyone who wants lots of laughs without working too hard for them. Built around a true-twin shape and featuring a traditional camber, the PBJ manages to perfectly balance its playful nature with its ride anything, solid and reassuring ride. This versatility and easy-going ride make the PBJ the perfect daily driver for anyone who wants to get out and have fun. Internally, DC utilise their proven Stratus wood core combined with playful bi-ax glass structural layers. This durable constuction delivers the PBJ’s more relaxed ride while delivering a responsive and dynamic board.
Rider Style
Intermediate to advanced looking for a playful freestyle-inspired all-terrain board that is equally happy playing in the park while cruising around the mountain.
Shape Overview
Built around a balanced twin tip shape, the PBJ delivers all the control and feel that even the most creative freestyle rider could ever need. Its combination of regular width and a sidecut that sits on the tighter side of regular ensures that even though the PBJ is playful and predictable, it still feels nimble underfoot.
Profile
The PBJ utilises a traditional full camber profile to give it a more reassuring and solid ride on the piste. Traditional camber energises the full length of the camber profile when under load, engaging the edge harder and giving a more dependable carve.
Internals
Heading up the PBJ’s high-quality construction is the lively Stratus wood core. This responsive FSC-certified core combines poplar with two beech stringers running through the centre section. This durable combination of woods gives increased strength through the insert zones, but more importantly, it adds extra pop through the length of the board. Combine that with the playful bi-ax weave glass fibre structural layers with Bio Resin matrix, and you get that perfect balance of all-terrain control and freestyle-feel that has made the PBJ so much fun to ride.
Base
Keeping with the PBJ’s freestyle roots, DC fit it with their easy repair True Base. This high molecular extruded base needs minimal maintenance to keep its speed.
